Helping Area High School Students
In April, several Freedom Credit Union employees volunteered to help local high school students learn about life decisions at Credit for Life Fairs in Springfield and Holyoke. At the fairs, more than 500 high school seniors from seven local high schools pretended they were 25 years old, chose a career with a salary, and made decisions related to housing, food, clothing, saving, retirement, etc. The goal of the fairs was to introduce the students to expenses they will incur as adults.
