What Is a Chatbot?
Chatbots use artificial intelligence (AI) and are programmed to respond to questions and requests of all kinds in a conversational manner, either via a chat function on a website or by text message.
If you’ve ever had a window pop up on a website asking if you need help or used apps to order coffee, food or rides, you have likely already interacted with a chatbot. The experience is typically so seamless and personalized, you may have thought you were conversing with another person. That’s how sophisticated the technology has become.
How to Chat with Avery
Interacting with our chatbot, Avery, is simple. When you visit our website, you’ll find a green chat bubble in the lower right corner of the screen. To start a conversation, just click on the bubble to open a chat window.
Avery will introduce herself and provide you with a list of frequently searched topics that you can click on for more information. Or you can type in your question and click the paper airplane icon to send it. Please do not share any specific account or personal information in the chat. Avery will answer your question or ask you follow up questions to provide you with the information you need.

We value our relationships with our members and Avery is not intended to replace human interaction. However, we know some people do their banking during non-workday hours and others prefer a simple way to get the information they need quickly. Avery is just one more tool to help you when you need it.
